Why Empathy Matters

There's a bottom line

Command and control-style management was all the rage for a while. We can still feel the effects of its punitive nature.

“The beatings will continue until morale improves” is hardly a way to develop rapport and culture with people, though.

What if we simply treated people with empathy — or even the way we’d wish to be treated?

The results would be measurable. Inspiring, even.
