Great piece on fame! I remember reading Boorstin in college, in the early 70s and wondering where all this would go. Well, here we are! As in the olden days a wrongheaded pursuit of glory and honor could put someone on the wrong path, and fame seems a pretty thin soup that can poison in its own way. I hope this post doesn't make you instantly famous.
Knew I could count on you to recall the glory and honor of days past! Reminds me of a link in the "Hope for the Future" edition of the newsletter a few weeks ago, one I called Timeless & Timi, which was all about corporate philotimy.
Fame is not equal to success or greatness. always great to read through your "Timeless and Timely Newsletter" Mr Scott Monty. Keep up the great work!
