I have a dear, dear friend in Spain that I helped get her and her husband's tech startup going (mostly through encouragement). Not long after, he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away a year later. But, her gave her a gift -- twin girls.
Sadly, she is left to raise them alone with little help. Her plight breaks my heart... repeatedly. But I follow Frank's lead in speaking with her regularly to encourage her and just, well, listen. There's not much more I can do. But I can do that, and sometimes, that's enough.
