I mentioned a couple of leaders I admire in this week’s newsletter about servant leadership. Who is a servant leader you admire? Share something they did that made them stand out as a great leader for you.
For this Ford brat (Dad was an development engineer there for 30 years) and former Ford temp (four years) in the bad old days (1988-1992), it's Alan Mulally, 100%. I didn't think anyone could change that culture and he did it by holding people accountable to a uniform set of standards, which I can pretty much confirm was not a thing before he showed up. Servant leadership to me is the resolve to do what is right even when it's unpopular because it's what will be best for everyone in the end. (Good book: American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company, Bryce G. Hoffman.)

My parents - their word was a contract; servant leaders to the max.
