Scott, thank you for sharing those stories. Sadly, over the last few decades, our educational system and universities no longer teach classical ethics, encourage open discourse, and a love of the laws and principles that have shaped our country. Recently, we have seen incredible divisiveness among our citizenry and leaders who lie, attack, and encourage violence rather than sharing policies that will benefit our country. The results of our last federal election show that Americans want financial security, a fair trade policy, closed borders, and schools that teach and not indoctrinate. While many would like to see a true statesman emerge on our political stage, that won’t happen anytime soon, as they would be mercilessly attacked and fold up their tent to return to their homes. Our country needs brash street fighters who don’t pull punches and deliver on his/her promises. We have that now in our executive branch of government.
Owning mistakes today is a rarity. There's always someone or something else to point at and blame , whether true or not.
It has become an accepted plague on our society. It's also apolitical or bipartisan, though the fish rots from the head down.
Our ability to respond with integrity seems our highest response-ability. Good stories! Thanks.
